Tacos Charly

Tacos Charly is a go-to spot for suadero in the south of Mexico City, honored with a Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide. They prepare it differently here: the meat is shredded rather than chopped and mixed with some “achicalada” (the flavorful bits from the bottom of the taco pit). This gives it a much juicier touch than usual.

Comidista Tip: Order the suadero tacos with everything and red salsa; it’s spicy but very good. Also, decide how many you want from the start so you don’t have to line up twice.

They are open from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. If you go at night, be ready to wait in line for a bit, as it tends to get crowded.
