Tacos Tony
For over 30 years, Tacos Tony has been a staple for suadero in Mexico City. It’s one of those spots that divides opinions: some love them for their history, while others are more critical, but their place in the Narvarte neighborhood's taco culture is undeniable.
The suadero is slow-cooked in lard until it is very tender. The tacos are served with salsas that, while they could have a bit more character, do the job well. It’s a reliable classic that has kept its essence through the decades.
Comidista Tip: Their chunky suadero has gone viral on social media; however, we prefer it finely chopped to better enjoy the texture. Pair it with a cold red Sidral Mundet (apple soda).
They open in the mid-morning and close very late into the night, making them a great option for those leaving a party or looking for a dependable late-night snack.
